We’re excited to highlight some of our favorite small shops for Mother’s Day gift ideas!
Finch & Fleur
This mama-owned shop offers the most gorgeous and thoughtful cards and prints. Our personal favorites are the cards! Beautifully illustrated and
printed on quality paper with thick Kraft envelops included in your purchase, these cards are a treat to send and receive.
Make sure you check out Jennifer’s Baby/Parent line of cards! They really are just the sweetest.
Calyan Wax Co.
Classy, non-toxic candles with a purpose! We recently discovered this fellow-Texan small biz, and we absolutely love their unique scents and minimal containers. A HUGE plus for us – these soy candles are scented with essential oils, making them so much better for you! On top of smelling amazing. They even have a limited-edition bluebonnet candle right now!
One aspect of this business that really sets this little company apart, however, is that they donate 5% of their profits to help end sex trafficking. Be sure to check out their website and learn more about this purposeful company.
Fox Hollow Studios
Another mama-owned shop, this one also from Texas! Tabitha is a gifted artist and she designs the most elegant and refreshing watercolor prints, learning materials, and more. Our favorite product for Mother’s Day, however, is the children’s book set she released last year.
A licensed speech pathologist as well as an artist, Tabitha created the most beautiful, educational, heirloom-quality board books about nature. These would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift for the new mama or grandma in your life! Also a plus – you can purchase them through Amazon Prime, so they should easily make it in time for Mother’s Day!
We hope these Mother’s Day gift ideas are helpful! And of course, we always recommend one of our hummingbird feeders as a wonderfully unique, beautiful, and practical gift! According to USPS shipping guides, the last day to place your order with us and have it delivered in time for Mother’s Day is the evening of the Sunday before Mother’s Day (May 2 in 2021). HOWEVER, due to consistent late delivery times with the USPS, we recommend upgrading to UPS shipping at this point, if you want to make sure your order arrives on time.
We checked the deliver time on all of the items recommended in this blog, and advise that you don’t wait any longer than Sunday evening to place your order at one of the shops above, too. Especially when you are shopping small, remember to give time for the processing of these small-batch, beautifully hand-crafted pieces!
